About TSC files

A .TSC file is primarily known as an electronic circuit simulation file created by DesignSoft TINA, a software suite used for analyzing and designing analog, digital, and mixed electronic circuits. These files store intricate circuit schematics, component parameters, and testing configurations needed to run virtual simulations. The .TSC extension is also widely used by Notarius ConsignO Desktop as a signed document container file, which securely bundles digitally signed PDF documents with their cryptographic validation data. Other specialized uses include laboratory instrument control scripts (often packaged as ZIP files) for Tecan software, flight data recorder logs from Avionica, and CAD shape catalogs from Trimble Tekla.

The major disadvantage of .TSC files is that they are highly proprietary and incredibly fragmented. A TINA circuit simulation file is practically useless to anyone who does not have the specific DesignSoft software installed. These files cannot be opened by web browsers, standard text editors, or basic image viewers. Similarly, a ConsignO signed container requires specific desktop software to verify the signatures and extract the underlying readable documents. This is often frustrating when you need to share circuit designs with students or legal documents with clients who lack the required paid licenses or specialized viewing applications.

To make the data accessible, converting .TSC files is almost always necessary. TINA users typically need to export their circuit schematics to PDF, JPG, or PNG formats to include them in reports, or to a standard SPICE netlist (CIR or TXT) for use in other electronic design tools. However, because .TSC is a closed, proprietary format, standard online converters constantly fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the complex data. Even if the file is difficult to open or convert, our analysis tool can inspect the file and show text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format - like a ZIP or GZIP archive used in some .TSC variations - viewing or conversion may still be possible without buying the original software.

Convert.Guru analyzes your TSC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted BTW, TSX, TSV, TSCN, PDF, ZIP, JPG, BIN, RIS, XAPK, TDR and JS files.

FAQ

If you want to convert TSC file to JS, DWG, DXF, DGN, RVT, RFA, SKP, 3DM, STEP, IGES, SAT or X_T, you can use DesignSoft TINA or similar software from the "Electronic Circuit Simulation" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

The TSC Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TSC converter.
