About PMC files

A .PMC file functions primarily as either a proprietary Prism3D game collision model for SCS Software titles or a UTF-8 encoded macro automation script for Pulover's Macro Creator. Less frequently, the extension is used for Process Monitor Configuration files by Microsoft Sysinternals, JSON label design projects by Pimaco+, and compiled industrial CNC ladder logic programs for FANUC Corporation. These files are notoriously frustrating to manage because the .PMC extension acts as a catch-all for deeply specialized, siloed systems. Prism3D collision files are proprietary binary blobs that lock 3D modders into using the official SCS Blender Tools plugin, preventing native importing into standard 3D engines. Conversely, Pulover's Macro scripts are essentially plain text files trapped behind a vendor-specific extension, forcing users to install bulky software just to run a lightweight script. When converting, macro scripts should be exported to AHK (AutoHotkey) or TXT to guarantee cross-system execution. 3D collision models can be converted to OBJ or FBX, though doing so permanently strips away the specialized game-engine physics metadata. Standard online converters fail spectacularly when trying to process a .PMC file because they cannot determine which of the five completely different formats is actually contained inside. If our analysis detects a supported underlying format like UTF-8 or JSON, viewing or extracting the raw data may still be seamlessly possible without downloading proprietary tools.

Convert.Guru analyzes your PMC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted PMC_CFG, PDF, HTML, PNG, PMD, MHT, ZIP, JPG, CTC and STP files.

FAQ

If you want to convert PMC file to INI, CFG, CONF, CONFIG, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, ENV, PROPERTIES or RC, you can use SCS Blender Tools or similar software from the "Collision Model or Macro Script" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

To convert ZSHRC, CONF, RCFILE, GITCONFIG, RC, PLIST, BASHRC, CONFIG, PROFILE, INI, PREFS or CFG files to PMC, try SCS Blender Tools or another comparable tool in the "Collision Model or Macro Script" category.

The PMC Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PMC converter.
