Extract text from NWC files

To convert other file formats to the "BIM Coordination Cache" file type, you need software like Autodesk Navisworks or a similar tool.
The .NWC extension serves two distinct industries: it is primarily a Navisworks Cache File generated by Autodesk Navisworks for BIM coordination, and secondarily a music score file created by NoteWorthy Composer.
The Problem:
For architecture and construction professionals, an .NWC file is a read-only cache generated automatically when opening native CAD files (like RVT or DWG). The frustrating part is that .NWC files are not intended for distribution; they are temporary indexing snapshots. Sending an .NWC to a client is often a mistake, as they may not be able to open it with the free Navisworks Freedom viewer, which typically requires the published NWD format. Furthermore, users cannot edit the geometry inside an .NWC file, leading to version control issues if the original source file is lost.
For musicians, .NWC files are proprietary project files that store notation. They cannot be played in standard media players (like iTunes or Windows Media Player) and require the specific NoteWorthy software to view the sheet music.
