About EML files

The .EML file is a standard electronic mail message saved in plain text format. It contains the email's header (sender, recipient, subject, date), the main body, and any attachments encoded in MIME format. You can open these files natively using email clients like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird. However, dealing with .EML files outside of a dedicated email client is frustrating. They are difficult to read on mobile devices, and the standard Base64 encoding inflates attachment file sizes by roughly 33 percent. Furthermore, extracting attachments manually from the raw text requires parsing thousands of lines of encoded characters. For archiving and universal sharing, convert .EML to .PDF. To migrate the data into a strict Microsoft environment, convert to .MSG. For raw data analysis, convert to .TXT.

Convert.Guru analyzes your EML file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted EMAIL, EMI, FWD, AML, ETM, MSG, EMP, MIME, ELM, MESSAGE, EMS, ETL and IML files.
