A .DOL file is primarily an executable binary used by Nintendo GameCube and Wii consoles. It contains the compiled code necessary to boot commercial games or run homebrew applications. A rare secondary variant is a 3D model format used in the PlayStation 2 version of Half-Life by Valve.
