Extract text from Digital Project files (DG)

The .dg file extension is heavily fragmented and serves multiple unrelated purposes. Primarily, it functions as a compressed project data file for Digital Project by Gehry Technologies or as a data repository for DataGraph. Secondarily, the enterprise engineering sector utilizes .dg for legacy CATIA V4 2D drawing files developed by Dassault Systèmes. In developer and industrial environments, it operates as a plain-text JSON dependency graph for Microsoft .NET / NuGet, or as an XML diagnostic report for FANUC robot controllers.
Opening a .dg file is difficult because the extension gives no immediate clue about its internal structure.
