About CCD files

The .CCD file extension is heavily fragmented, primarily serving two completely different purposes: proprietary business flowcharts and legacy optical disc images.

A significant portion of .CCD files are vector graphics created by ConceptDraw DIAGRAM (formerly ConceptDraw PRO) by CS Odessa. These are used for flowcharts, network diagrams, and floor plans. The major disadvantage is extreme vendor lock-in. The format is proprietary, undocumented, and cannot be opened natively by web browsers or competing tools like Microsoft Visio. Users often hit a wall trying to share these files with clients who refuse to install expensive, specialized software.

The second major use case is the CloneCD Control File originally developed by SlySoft (now RedFox). This is an ASCII text file containing track and header metadata for a copied CD or DVD. This format is notoriously frustrating because the .CCD file is useless on its own. It must be accompanied by a massive IMG file (the actual disc data) and a SUB file (subchannel data). Furthermore, modern operating systems do not support mounting .CCD files natively without third-party drivers.

If you have a ConceptDraw file, you must convert it to PDF for reliable document sharing or archiving. For web embedding, convert it to SVG or PNG. If you have a CloneCD file set, you should convert the entire package into a single ISO file to guarantee compatibility with native OS mounting tools. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CCD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted IMG, SUB, ECM, CUE, CHD, CDD, ZIP, XML, SAT, 7Z, JPG, ISO and BIN files.

The CCD Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CCD converter.
