About A3D files

The .A3D file extension represents a proprietary 3D data container, most frequently generated by ASCON KOMPAS-3D as a Model Assembly file or by Esko ArtiosCAD for structural packaging designs. These files encapsulate complex geometry, assembly hierarchies, and spatial metadata used in mechanical engineering and manufacturing.

Because .A3D files are strictly proprietary, they pose significant accessibility challenges.
