The .cdw file is a proprietary 2D CAD drawing format created by KOMPAS-3D, a prominent mechanical design and engineering software developed by the ASCON Group. These files are typically used to store highly detailed 2D drafts, schematics, and technical illustrations for manufacturing and architecture.
While KOMPAS-3D is powerful, the .cdw format is highly proprietary and notoriously closed.
