About ZDL files

A .ZDL file is a proprietary label design project created by the legacy Avery DesignPro software. These files act as containers for layout information, text, images, and database connections used to print business cards, mailing labels, and CD covers.

The main problem with .ZDL files is that Avery DesignPro has been discontinued and is no longer supported on modern operating systems like Windows 10 or macOS. Consequently, users with archived label designs often find themselves unable to open or print their projects without the original, outdated software. The file structure is typically a Microsoft Compound Document, making it incompatible with standard text editors or third-party vector tools.

To retrieve your designs, the most practical solution is converting the .ZDL file to a standard format.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ZDL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted ZDP, AVERY, PDF, ZPL, ZIP, LBL, TXT, 3DXML, STL, CRDOWNLOAD, INO, PRNX and RFA files.
