About YDK files

The .YDK file format is primarily used as a Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck File by digital trading card simulators like EDOPro, YGO Omega, and YGOPro. In this context, the file is a simple UTF-8 text document that organizes a player's main, extra, and side decks. Its biggest disadvantage is its lack of human readability: a .YDK file only contains numerical card passcodes (IDs), not actual card names, descriptions, or artwork. Without a simulator or a companion database (usually a CDB file) to translate these IDs, the file is practically useless to a human reader. Less frequently, .YDK files act as DemirSoft Barkod database backups utilizing a JetDB structure, or as Bilsa school course plans compressed with zlib.

Because raw deck lists only display numbers, sharing them directly on forums or blogs is frustrating. To make a deck list readable, you must convert the .YDK file. For web sharing and discussion, convert to TXT or CSV using a tool that maps the numerical IDs to card names. For developer use or archiving, translating the deck into JSON or XML is best.

Convert.Guru analyzes your YDK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TXT, YDC, PDF, CSV, JPG, PNG, HTML, JPEG, DOCX, RPY, ENC, DMP and TEXT files.
