About VPN files
A .VPN file is a network configuration file used to establish a secure Virtual Private Network connection. It contains routing instructions, server addresses, port numbers, and authentication details. System administrators use these files to distribute pre-configured network access to remote employees. You can encounter .VPN files in several major software ecosystems, including SoftEther VPN Client, Barracuda VPN Client, and Shrew Soft. The primary disadvantage of the .VPN format is severe fragmentation.
