Convert SHA to another file type

To convert SHA drawings to another format, you need SmartSketch or other Cad software.

Convert a file to SHA

To convert other file formats to the "2D Drawing / Hash File" file type, you need software like SmartSketch or a similar tool.

About SHA files

A .sha file typically stores a 2D CAD drawing created in Intergraph SmartSketch, utilizing a Microsoft Compound internal structure. Alternatively, it serves as a plain text SHA-1 checksum file used to verify data integrity using the Secure Hash Algorithm. SmartSketch files are heavily proprietary. Opening them requires expensive, enterprise-level CAD software. They are not natively supported by standard viewers, making collaboration with external vendors incredibly difficult. Meanwhile, SHA checksum files often confuse users who just want to read the hash value but lack command-line tools. To share SmartSketch drawings, you must convert the .sha file. For universal viewing, printing, and archiving, convert to PDF/A. For editing in other CAD programs like AutoCAD, convert to DWG or DXF. Be aware that highly specific parametric data may be lost when exporting to generic CAD formats. Our tool automatically detects whether you need a vector CAD conversion or simple text extraction.

Convert.Guru analyzes your SHA file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted SHA256, SFV, SHA1, PCF, PDF, MD5, ZIP, EXE, NWD, TXT, 001, A3 and AIP files.

FAQ

If you want to convert SHA file to TEXT, DWG, MD5, CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG or CONF, you can use SmartSketch or similar software from the "2D Vector Drawing & Verification" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

The SHA Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SHA converter.
