About PRF files
PRF files are a proprietary file format created by Microsoft Outlook, used to store Outlook profile information. They are not supported by other email clients, and therefore cannot be opened in any other application. They are also not compatible with webmail services, so they cannot be uploaded or shared online. Conversion of PRF files is possible, but can be difficult due to the proprietary nature of the file format. Software such as Microsoft Outlook and various tools can be used to convert PRF files to other file formats. However, these programs may not be able to convert all PRF files, as some of the data stored in the file may be lost in the conversion process. Additionally, the conversion process can be time-consuming and complex, and may require the user to have a certain level of technical knowledge. For these reasons, it is often more convenient to use a free and easy online website, such as Convert.Guru, to convert PRF files.
The PRF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began more than 25 years ago in California, when Tom Simondi published the most comprehensive database of file formats on his website. Before that, Tom had worked on Space Shuttle development at the Air Force Systems Command’s Space Division in Los Angeles. He is known as one of the top programmers of the late 1980s.
When Microsoft integrated Tom’s Filext database into Windows XP, it became the leading platform for analyzing and processing file types and formats.
Today, we use the latest technologies to analyze, process, and convert one of the world's largest collections of file formats. We are committed to developing the best PRF converter by continuously improving quality, usability, and reliability.
