Extract text from KSF files

A .ksf file is most frequently a Korg Sample File, a proprietary audio format used by classic synthesizers like the Korg Trinity, Triton, and the modern Korg KROME EX. These files contain raw audio waveform data used to generate instrument sounds. The primary issue with KSF files is their hardware dependency; they are designed to be read by the synthesizer's internal OS, not standard media players like VLC or Windows Media Player. To use these samples in modern Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) like Ableton Live or Logic Pro, you generally need to convert them into a universal format like WAV or AIFF.
However, the .ksf extension is also used for KMPlayer Skins (which are essentially renamed ZIP archives containing interface graphics) and Konica Minolta printer driver settings. This naming collision causes significant friction, as users often try to open a text-based printer setting file in an audio editor or vice versa. For Korg audio files, conversion to WAV is best for editing, while MP3 serves well for sharing previews. For KMPlayer skins, simply renaming the extension to ZIP usually allows you to inspect the contents. For Konica or Kiwi Syslog files (which use XML), converting to TXT or PDF ensures the configuration data remains human-readable for archiving.
