Extract text from ISZ files

A .ISZ file is fundamentally a Compressed ISO Disk Image, a proprietary format developed by EZB Systems for their UltraISO software. It functions exactly like a standard ISO file - containing a complete sector-by-sector copy of an optical disc - but uses compression (typically ZLIB or BZIP2) to reduce file size and supports AES256 encryption. While efficient for storage, the format presents significant friction for modern users: it is not natively supported by operating systems like Windows or macOS, meaning you cannot simply double-click to "mount" or view it without specialized third-party software like Daemon Tools or WinMount. Furthermore, .ISZ files can be segmented (split) into multiple parts to fit on smaller media, creating a dependency chain where missing one segment renders the whole image useless.
To access the data inside, the most practical solution is converting the file back to a standard ISO image. This restores compatibility with virtually all burning software, virtualization tools (like VMware or VirtualBox), and native OS mounting features. For archiving or sharing, standard ISO is preferred over .ISZ to avoid proprietary vendor lock-in. In rare cases (approx. 3%), an .ISZ file may be a 3D interior design project created by Palette CAD, which is completely incompatible with disk image tools and requires the original CAD software to view.
