About FR3 files

The .FR3 file is an XML-based report definition file used by FastReport to generate printable documents. This format stores page layouts, data bands, text objects, and scripting elements but does not typically contain the actual database records. To open or edit an .FR3 file natively, you need the FastReport Designer. Because these files are proprietary templates meant for developers, they are extremely frustrating for end-users who just want to read a final document. Attempting to open it in a standard text editor reveals complex XML code, which is difficult to parse visually and prone to corruption if edited manually. Furthermore, users often confuse .FR3 (the template) with FP3 (the populated report), leading to empty files when opened. For sharing and viewing without developer tools, you must convert the .FR3 file. For universal read-only access, convert to PDF. If you need to edit the textual layout, convert to DOCX. For extracting the underlying structural data, converting to XML or CSV is best.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FR3 file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted FP3, FR3D, FRX, PDF, FRD, FRF, ZIP, DOCX, RPT, CDW, TXT, QRP and RAR files.
