A .CTP file typically represents one of two very different digital assets: a CakePHP Template used in web development or an AlphaCard ID project file used for designing identification badges.

For developers, .CTP files are vital components of the CakePHP framework. They contain a mix of HTML and PHP code responsible for the visual presentation logic of a website. However, because they are server-side templates, you cannot simply double-click them to view the final webpage; doing so will only open the raw source code in a text editor like VS Code.
