About GOO files
The .GOO file is primarily a sliced DLP 3D printer file used by ELEGOO hardware and created by slicers like Voxeldance Tango or Chitubox. It contains thousands of 2D image slices that dictate how UV light cures resin layer by layer. This format poses a massive disadvantage for users: it is a proprietary, closed format that destroys the original 3D mesh geometry. Once a model is sliced into .GOO, files often exceed 100MB and become strictly hardware-dependent. You cannot simply open them in standard 3D modeling software. Users frequently want to convert .GOO back to STL or OBJ to edit the model. However, standard online converters fail to process them because translating 2D voxel slices back into a continuous 3D mesh is highly complex, resulting in severe quality loss.
