About BRT files

The .brt file extension is primarily associated with Bar Reinforcement Tables generated by Allplan (Nemetschek), a leading BIM/CAD solution for civil engineering. These files contain critical reinforcement steel schedules - detailed lists of rebar shapes, lengths, and quantities required for construction.

The Problem:
Contractors and steel fabricators often receive these files but lack the specific Allplan environment required to view them. Opening a raw .brt file in a standard text editor often results in misaligned data or unreadable formatting, making it impossible to use for procurement or bending machine instructions without conversion.

The Solution:

Use Convert.Guru to open and convert your BRT file.

Users also converted DDB, DRL, CSPROJ, EST, IST, UTC, PST, CST and GMT files.

The BRT Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our BRT converter.
