About WRPL files
A .WRPL file is primarily a War Thunder Replay file created by the vehicular combat game War Thunder. It records match data, player telemetry, and in-game events. A secondary, less common use for the .WRPL extension is for Saved Game Files in the open-source strategy game Widelands. The primary disadvantage of a .WRPL file is that it is not actual video. It is a highly compressed, proprietary set of instructions. This means it requires the exact same version of the game engine to play back the events. If the game updates, old .WRPL files become broken and unplayable. You cannot upload a .WRPL file to YouTube or play it in standard media players like VLC. Users constantly seek to convert .WRPL to .MP4, .AVI, or .MKV formats to share their gameplay. However, standard online converters fail because there is no video or audio stream inside the file to extract. The conversion requires full 3D rendering. This is a closed, proprietary format, and only the original software can properly read or render the data. To convert it into a video, you must play the replay in the game and use screen recording software.
Convert.Guru analyzes your WRPL file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The WRPL Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our WRPL converter.
