Extract text from project files (VMP)

The .vmp file extension primarily represents either a 3D garment animation file created by CLO 3D or a software protection project file used by VMProtect. In the fashion industry, designers use CLO 3D to create hyper-realistic 3D clothing simulations, saving the animation data as a .vmp file. Software developers use VMProtect to secure EXE programs against reverse engineering; their .vmp files store configuration settings in plain XML format. Less common uses include AspenTech Symmetry process simulation models (which are stored as ZIP archives) and legacy virtual memory cards for the Bleem! PlayStation emulator.
The main disadvantage of .vmp files is their proprietary nature. If a client sends you a CLO 3D .vmp animation, you cannot play it in standard media players or web browsers. You must own an expensive software license to open, view, or render the file. Likewise, VMProtect files require the compiler to be of any use.
To share a CLO 3D animation, you should export it directly from the software to a standard video format like MP4 or a 3D format like FBX.
