About TPC files
The .tpc file extension is primarily used as a compiled game texture file by the BioWare Odyssey Engine or as a sprite sheet data file created by TexturePacker. In the gaming and software development industry, these files bundle multiple 2D images or 3D textures into a single optimized package to reduce memory loads and rendering times. The main disadvantage of the .tpc format is its rigid, proprietary structure. Standard image viewers, operating systems, and web browsers cannot open them natively. Furthermore, you cannot easily edit the visual contents without breaking the game code or layout coordinates. If you need to view or use the sprites, you should convert the file to standard web targets like PNG or JPG. However, this file format is difficult to open or convert because standard online converters fail to process the closed compression algorithms and custom data headers. Often, only the original software or dedicated community modding tools can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your TPC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert TPC file to TGA, TPI, TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD or MARKDOWN, you can use TexturePacker or similar software from the "Game Texture and Sprite Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to TPC, try TexturePacker or another comparable tool in the "Game Texture and Sprite Data" category.
The TPC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TPC converter.
