About RTB files

An .RTB file is primarily a Miro Board Backup file. Miro, formerly known as RealtimeBoard, is a popular collaborative online whiteboard platform. Users generate .RTB files when exporting an offline backup of a specific whiteboard canvas. The main disadvantage of the .RTB format is its proprietary nature. It acts as an isolated storage container that requires an active Miro account to restore and view the layout as intended. The format is not supported by standard graphic or document editors, making it difficult to share or edit offline. Under the hood, an .RTB file is actually a standard ZIP archive. It contains board assets like uploaded images (PNG, JPG), vector shapes, and a central JSON file plotting the spatial coordinates of every item. If you need raw data access, the best target formats for conversion or extraction are ZIP or individual PNG and JSON files. Standard online converters fail with .RTB files because the visual layout logic depends entirely on Miro's internal web rendering engine. Converting a complex infinite canvas directly into a paginated PDF or DOCX is mathematically and functionally difficult for third-party tools.

Convert.Guru analyzes your RTB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted HOLST, JPG, EASM, X_T, ACSM, SNMM, BACKUP, LBF and PDF files.
