Extract text from PCB design files (RRB)

The .rrb file is a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design file. It stores routing rules, copper traces, board geometry, and component footprints for electronic circuits.
Engineers and hobbyists primarily use these files with ExpressPCB Plus and Robot Room's Copper Connection software. A smaller percentage of these files are categorized as Robot Roomba Board files used by the open-source Fritzing platform for robotics projects.
You usually need to convert this file because of vendor lock-in. The .rrb format is a closed, proprietary file. ExpressPCB uses this format so users can only order physical boards through their specific manufacturing service. This is a massive disadvantage. You cannot send an .rrb file to a standard, cheaper fabrication house. The files are not compatible with modern web browsers, and they require you to install specific software just to view the circuit layout.
The best target formats for conversion are standard Gerber files (like GBL or GTL). Gerber is the universal language for PCB manufacturing. Converting to PDF or SVG is also highly recommended if you want to print the layout for home etching or share it visually. When converting, you might lose the dynamic schematic links, but you will gain the freedom to manufacture your board anywhere.
This file format is difficult to open or convert because its internal structure is strictly undocumented. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data.
