About RAF files
RAF (Fuji Raw Image File) is a proprietary image file format used by Fuji digital cameras. It is based on the TIFF/EP standard and stores uncompressed raw image data along with various metadata. RAF files are typically used for post-processing and editing of photos taken with Fuji cameras. They can be opened and edited with various software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and GIMP.
RAF files can be converted to other image formats, such as JPEG, PNG, and TIFF. Conversion can be done using software such as IrfanView, Photopea, and GIMP. It is important to note that some of the metadata stored in the RAF file may be lost during the conversion process. Additionally, some of the post-processing effects applied to the image may not be preserved when converting to other formats.
RAF files are not widely supported and can be difficult to convert. As such, it is recommended to use an online conversion service such as Convert.Guru to convert RAF files to other formats. Convert.Guru is free and easy to use and supports a wide range of image formats.
The RAF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began more than 25 years ago in California, when Tom Simondi published the most comprehensive database of file formats on his website. Before that, Tom had worked on Space Shuttle development at the Air Force Systems Command’s Space Division in Los Angeles. He is known as one of the top programmers of the late 1980s.
When Microsoft integrated Tom’s Filext database into Windows XP, it became the leading platform for analyzing and processing file types and formats.
Today, we use the latest technologies to analyze, process, and convert one of the world's largest collections of file formats. We are committed to developing the best RAF converter by continuously improving quality, usability, and reliability.
