Extract text from RawTherapee processing profiles (PP3)

The .PP3 file is a RawTherapee Processing Profile used by the open-source photo editor RawTherapee. It functions as a non-destructive "sidecar" file. When you adjust a raw photo's exposure, contrast, or color balance, the software saves these mathematical parameters into the .PP3 file instead of permanently altering the original raw image data.
The biggest disadvantage of the .PP3 format is that users frequently mistake it for an actual image file. A .PP3 file contains absolutely zero pixel data; it is merely a plain text file structured similarly to an INI file. This means the file is completely useless on its own. If you email a .PP3 file to a client without the massive accompanying raw image (like a CR2 or NEF), they will see nothing. Furthermore, these files are strictly proprietary to RawTherapee and cannot be natively read by web browsers, standard photo viewers, or other major editors like Adobe Lightroom (which uses XMP files instead).
Because of its text-based nature, standard online image converters will fail to process a .PP3 file into a JPG or PNG. The only true way to "convert" the visual result of a .PP3 is to open the original raw image alongside the .PP3 in RawTherapee, and export the rendered photo.
