About MTD files

The .MTD file extension is a polymorphic format used in three distinct high-friction environments: digital rights management (DRM), industrial calibration, and embedded systems.

  1. Musicnotes Digital Sheet Music: For most users, an .MTD file is a proprietary container from Musicnotes. It locks sheet music content to the Musicnotes Player or Viewer to prevent unauthorized distribution.
  1. Mesa Labs Data Logs: In industrial settings, .MTD files contain flow calibration data from DryCal or Defender series instruments by Mesa Labs.
  1. MediaTek Firmware: In Android development, "MTD" stands for Memory Technology Device. These files are flash memory dumps from devices using MediaTek chipsets.

Convert.Guru analyzes your MTD file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted MDT, LQM, DMT, PDF, BRUSHSET, STP, ZIP, AAC, CAF and AIFF files.

The MTD Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our MTD converter.
