About ICL files

The .icl extension is shared by two distinct but highly technical formats: the Windows Icon Library (often created by Axialis IconWorkshop) and the Image Cash Letter (a banking standard used by Fiserv and the Federal Reserve).

For designers and developers, an ICL file is a container storing multiple icon sizes and color depths.
