About CLG files

A .clg file typically serves as a proprietary application log or a specialized project file, depending on the software that created it. Most commonly, it is generated as a project management change log by Oracle Primavera P3 or as a photo collage project file by Fabric.js-based tools like Galleria Collage Maker. It is also heavily used for application crash logs, such as those generated by the game Age of Wonders 4, or compressed system logs by the MediaTek (MTK) Catcher utility.

Because .clg is an "extension collision" format used by entirely unrelated applications, users often struggle to open them. A .clg collage file does not contain actual image data; it usually contains proprietary JSON code that points to local images on your hard drive, meaning you cannot natively view it without the original software. Log files face different limits: they can be enormous, heavily compressed, or completely unreadable outside of specialized diagnostic tools.

To view the contents of a collage project, you must open it in the original software and export it to a standard JPG or PNG. For text-based logs, standard text editors can often open them, allowing you to save the contents as TXT or convert them to PDF for easier sharing.

This file format is difficult to open or convert universally because it lacks a standardized internal structure. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. We will inspect the file and show its text or internal content. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your CLG file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TXT, JPG, ENC, XLSX, BIN, CRDOWNLOAD, DMP, IPT, SPV, RPT, APK, CFG and PNG files.

The CLG Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CLG converter.
