About G1A files

The .G1A file format is primarily used as a compiled add-in application for Casio graphing calculators, particularly the fx-CG Prizm series. These files contain executable binary code, graphical assets, and program logic that add new features or games to the calculator hardware. In rare cases, the extension also denotes game animation data for Koei Tecmo titles or HMI alarm history logs for Mitsubishi Electric and Siemens industrial controllers.

Users typically encounter .G1A files when downloading custom programs from the internet to flash onto their devices using software like Casio FA-124 or a web USB interface like the one provided by NumWorks. The primary disadvantage of the format is its highly proprietary nature. The files are closed, compiled binaries designed for specific SH-3 or SH-4 processor architectures. You cannot natively run or execute them on a PC, Mac, or smartphone without an emulator. Opening them in a standard text editor yields unreadable gibberish, and modifying the application requires the original C/C++ source code.

Because this is a closed, proprietary executable format, standard online converters fail to process it. Converting a .G1A file directly into an EXE or APK is impossible due to the completely different operating systems and hardware involved. However, developers often need to extract embedded assets, meaning you might target ZIP for decompilation or TXT to scrape internal string data.

Only the original software or a dedicated hardware emulator can properly execute the data.

Convert.Guru analyzes your G1A file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted G1M, CAT, G2M, CSV, TXT, JSON, DOCX, ZIP, SLC and GX files.
