About G1M files

.G1M files serve two vastly different primary functions: storing memory backups, variables, and program data for Casio graphing calculators, or housing 3D character models for video games developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Gust (such as the Dead or Alive series).

Managing calculator files requires legacy software like Casio FA-124, while extracting game models requires community-developed modding tools like Noesis with custom Python plugins. The main disadvantage of the .G1M format is its strictly proprietary, undocumented binary structure. These files cannot be opened on a standard PC, read by web browsers, or edited in plain text editors. For calculator users, sharing code is frustrating because the data is locked to Casio hardware. For game modders, the models are heavily encrypted and bound to a specific game engine.

To overcome these limits, calculator programmers often attempt to convert the internal code to TXT or CSV for sharing and editing. 3D artists need to convert the files to OBJ or FBX to modify the meshes and rigs in 3D suites like Blender. Be aware that direct conversion often results in the loss of engine-specific physics data or calculator hardware configurations.

Because this file format is highly proprietary and fragmented across different industries, standard online converters almost always fail to process it. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your G1M file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted TXT, G1A, EAM, CSV, PDF, PNG, JSON, XLSX, JPG, DOCX, BMP, RTF and PY files.

The G1M Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our G1M converter.
