About G2M files
The .g2m file is primarily a proprietary video recording created by GoToMeeting, a web conferencing software originally developed by Citrix Systems. It stores the screen sharing, audio, and webcam video of recorded online sessions. Additionally, a smaller subset of .g2m files are used by Casio graphing calculators to store 2D graph memory and program data. The major disadvantage of the .g2m video format is its extremely restricted compatibility. It is heavily encoded with a closed codec and cannot be played on standard media players, uploaded directly to video sharing platforms like YouTube, or imported into non-linear video editors. You typically must rely on the native GoToMeeting Recording Manager to view or transcode it. Because of these severe limitations, conversion is strictly required for distribution or archiving. For web playback and mobile device compatibility, convert to MP4. For older Windows environments, convert to WMV. Drag and drop your file to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.
