About FPK files
The .fpk format primarily functions as a proprietary game asset archive. It is heavily utilized by game engines like the Konami Fox Engine and Gamebryo, and prominent in titles such as Civilization V. These files serve as compressed containers bundling 3D models, textures, and audio files. Alternatively, .fpk files can appear as legacy electronic form packets originally created by Delrina FormFlow or Adobe JetForm, or as contour measurement data generated by Mitutoyo Formtracer devices. The primary disadvantage of .fpk files is their closed-box, proprietary nature. Game developers use this format to optimize loading times and deter casual asset ripping. Because they are engine-specific, standard operating systems cannot read them. Furthermore, legacy FormFlow .fpk packages are completely obsolete and typically require migration. Modders and data archivists face significant friction when trying to access these locked contents. To utilize the assets inside, extraction or conversion is mandatory. For game modification, you should unpack the archive into a standard ZIP to access underlying DDS textures or NIF models. For legacy business forms, converting the data to a flat PDF is the only reliable way to ensure long-term readability. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser.

The FPK Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FPK converter.
