About FC files
The .fc file extension primarily serves as a FlipaClip Animation Project file. It acts as a container for multi-layered 2D animations, storing individual hand-drawn frames, background images, audio tracks, and timeline metadata. These files are created and managed by FlipaClip, a popular mobile animation application developed by Visual Blasters. Users frequently need to convert .fc files because the format is proprietary and heavily restricted to the mobile app ecosystem. Sharing an .fc file directly is impractical; recipients cannot play the animation or view the contents without installing the app. There is no native desktop support, and large animations can consume significant device storage space. For sharing and playback, the ideal target formats are MP4 for standard video and GIF for lightweight, looping web animations. Extracting the file contents directly yields raw PNG image frames and WAV or MP3 audio files, though the complex animation timing is lost. This file format is difficult to open or convert outside of the app because it is technically a renamed ZIP archive governed by proprietary JSON configuration files. Standard video converters fail because they lack the rendering engine needed to combine the layers and synchronize the audio based on the internal logic. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects the supported underlying ZIP container, viewing or conversion of the embedded media assets may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert FC file to LUX, MP, FB, C, K, BASE64, HEX, BIN, ENC, CRYPT, AES or DES, you can use FlipaClip or similar software from the "Animation Project Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert CER, BIN, PEM, DER, KEY, P7S, PFX, ENC, P12, BASE64, P7B or HEX files to FC, try FlipaClip or another comparable tool in the "Animation Project Storage" category.
The FC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FC converter.
