About FC files
The .fc extension is primarily associated with FlipaClip project files. These are proprietary containers used by the FlipaClip mobile application to store 2D animation data, including vector strokes, audio layers, and frame timings. While excellent for creating animations on the go, the format poses significant challenges for desktop users. .fc files are not natively supported by standard media players like VLC or professional editing suites like Adobe Premiere Pro. This creates a "mobile lock-in" where users struggle to share high-quality drafts or migrate projects to PC-based workflows without first exporting.
However, because the .fc format is internally a ZIP archive, users can often bypass these restrictions. For casual sharing or web publishing, the best solution is converting the project to MP4 or WebP video. For archiving or further editing in tools like Blender, users can treat the file as a compressed folder to extract individual PNG frames and MP3 audio assets.
Note: This extension is also used by Flux for electronics design projects and Faucet Collector for automation scripts. These are plain text or JSON-based and require their specific proprietary software to function correctly.
Convert.Guru analyzes your FC file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
Users also converted FLA, ZIP, AD2, MPP, FPC, LUX, MP, FB, C and K files.
The FC Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our FC converter.
