About DML files
A .DML file is a web script page written in DynaScript, a legacy dynamic HTML scripting language compatible with ECMAScript. These files are hosted on web servers to dynamically generate standard HTML pages upon a user's request. To open or edit a .DML file natively, developers typically use plain text editors or IDEs like Visual Studio Code. Because .DML files rely entirely on server-side execution, opening them locally on a desktop will not display the final graphical webpage. Standard web browsers cannot process the underlying DynaScript code locally without a compatible server engine installed. This limits users to viewing only the raw source code. Furthermore, as DynaScript is now considered an outdated, legacy technology, setting up the actual server environment to run these files is increasingly difficult. Converting .DML files to universal formats like TXT, PDF, or static HTML is highly recommended for code documentation, archiving, or sharing with non-technical team members. While converting the file will not execute the dynamic scripts, our engine easily extracts the raw code and ensures it is safely preserved and universally readable.
