About DECK files
The .deck file extension is heavily fragmented and used across entirely different software ecosystems. It is most frequently a Presentation Slide Deck exported by the Figma Pitchdeck plugin. Alternatively, it serves as a Flashcard Study Deck for learning apps like Anki and Flashcard Hero, or as a plain-text player decklist for digital trading card simulators like YGOPro, Digimon, and One Piece. Because these formats are proprietary and highly specific, sharing a .deck file is usually problematic. A recipient without the exact parent software will be completely unable to open it. The Pitchdeck variant is structurally a compressed ZIP archive, but it requires a paid plugin subscription to render natively. Flashcard variants lock your study data into one specific app ecosystem, preventing easy backups or edits. To avoid software lock-in and share data freely, you should convert your files. For presentations, convert .deck to PDF or PPTX for universal viewing and printing. For flashcards or card game lists, convert to CSV or TXT to easily read or migrate the raw text data. Convert.Guru analyzes your DECK file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The DECK Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our DECK converter.
