Convert a file to CHE

To convert other file formats to the "Proprietary Simulation Data File" file type, you need software like Compucon EOS or a similar tool.

About CHE files

The .che file extension is highly fragmented and used by three completely unrelated industries: Compucon EOS embroidery designs, Kalloc Studios Fuzor 4D simulations, and PerkinElmer chemagic automated DNA/RNA extraction protocols. These files strictly contain proprietary data designed exclusively for their specific hardware and software ecosystems. Compucon embroidery files store precise stitch coordinates for garment manufacturing, Fuzor files contain heavily compressed Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) 3D simulation data, and chemagic files store machine automation scripts. You need specific, often expensive, software to open these files. For example, Fuzor requires a costly enterprise license, and without it, the 3D data is completely locked away. Embroidery professionals face similar issues; you cannot view a .CHE stitch file in standard image viewers or web browsers. Users typically want to convert embroidery .CHE files into universal machine formats like DST, PES, or EXP, while Fuzor users might want to export 3D data to FBX or RVT. However, because these formats are closed and proprietary, standard online converters completely fail to process them. This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because the encoding is deliberately obscured by the developers. Only the original software can properly parse the internal algorithms or export the data cleanly. Despite these strict limitations, you can upload your .CHE file to convert.guru. Just drag and drop your file to identify the exact format version, inspect the underlying hex data, and view plain text metadata. If our analysis detects standard embedded structures or supported vector coordinates, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.

Use Convert.Guru to open and convert your CHE file.

The CHE Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our CHE converter.
