The .qztp file is a temporary data file created by the China Online Visa Application (COVA) portal. Its primary use is saving an incomplete visa application. When users need to pause their application, the website generates this file so they can resume the process later without losing their progress.
This file is exclusively associated with the China Visa Application Center. No standard desktop software is designed to open it natively.
The biggest disadvantage of the .qztp format is that it is entirely proprietary and practically useless outside of its parent website. Users frequently download it expecting a printable visa form, only to find their computer cannot open it. It is not a document. It does not contain formatted text or images, which makes offline viewing incredibly frustrating.
Because it is a raw data dump, you cannot directly convert a .qztp file into standard formats like PDF or DOCX. The best and only reliable way to "convert" this file into a printable format is to upload it back to the COVA portal, finish the application, and let the system generate the final PDF.
