Extract text from ATH files
To convert your ATH file to another format, you need Athenasoft Norma or other Data software.
To convert other file formats to the "Cost Estimation & Lighting" file type, you need software like Athenasoft Norma or a similar tool.
The .ath extension typically refers to a Construction Cost Estimate created by Athenasoft Norma software (including Norma PRO and Norma STANDARD). These files contain detailed project budgets, material lists, and labor calculations commonly used in the Polish construction industry. The main limitation with .ath files is their proprietary nature; they are binary containers that require expensive, specialized licensing just to view the line items. You cannot simply open them in Microsoft Excel or a web browser, making collaboration with clients or contractors difficult without converting the data first. For sharing estimates, the best practice is converting to PDF to preserve formatting, or XLSX / CSV if you need to manipulate the figures in a spreadsheet.
Alternatively, if you are a gamer, your .ath file might be an AlienFX Lighting Theme used by the Alienware Command Center. These are often formatted as XML files that control LED lighting zones on Dell hardware. While less opaque than the Athenasoft format, older AlienFX themes often suffer from compatibility issues with newer hardware drivers. Converting these to plain TXT or XML allows you to inspect the color codes and scripts manually to troubleshoot lighting errors or migrate profiles.
