About ATH files
The .ath file extension is most commonly used for Athenasoft NORMA construction cost estimate files. These files contain detailed project budgeting data, labor costs, material lists, and construction schedules used by contractors and architects, predominantly in Poland. Because this is a proprietary, closed format, it presents significant disadvantages for sharing. Files often require expensive, specialized software like Athenasoft NORMA to open. They are not supported by standard web browsers, and sending an .ath file to a client usually results in them being unable to read the estimate. The best solution is to convert the .ath file to a PDF for easy viewing or an XLSX spreadsheet for financial editing. However, standard online converters often fail to process this format because only the original software can properly decode the proprietary data structures. A smaller percentage of .ath files are AlienFX Lighting Theme files used by Dell Alienware computers. These files store custom RGB lighting profiles for keyboards and chassis zones. Unlike the construction estimates, AlienFX files are saved in standard XML. This means they can be easily opened in a text editor like Notepad to view the raw color codes. If our analysis detects this supported underlying XML format, viewing or conversion is easily possible.
