Convert a file to SDX
To convert other file formats to the "Channel List Database" file type, you need software like CDX Editor or a similar tool.
About SDX files
An .SDX file primarily functions as a Satellite Receiver Channel Database. These files store lists of television and radio channels, satellite frequencies, and transponder data. They are heavily used by receivers equipped with the NationalChip (Guoxin) GX chipset, including popular brands like GTMedia, StarSat, and Viark.
Secondary uses for the .SDX extension include Siemens SIMARIS electrical network design projects (which are actually ZIP archives) and Kivuto OnTheHub Secure Download Manager files (which act as small instruction files to download large educational software).
The Problem: Working with .SDX channel lists is incredibly frustrating. Most are proprietary binary blobs or specialized JSON files. Users often rely on outdated, buggy desktop software like CDX Editor or the slow receiver interface to sort, delete, or rename thousands of channels. Furthermore, if you have a Kivuto .SDX file, it is completely useless without their specific proprietary download manager.
The Solution: For channel lists, converting the .SDX file to a standard data format makes bulk editing easy. Drag and drop your file here to analyze and convert it - free, online, and without installing software.
For Editing: Convert to CSV or JSON to quickly organize, rename, and sort your channel lists in Microsoft Excel.
For Web Sharing: Convert to TXT or XML to share frequency configurations on satellite enthusiast forums.
For Archiving: Convert your sorted list to PDF to print out a physical TV guide for your receiver.

The SDX Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our SDX converter.
