The .approj file is a proprietary screen recording and e-learning project file created by ActivePresenter. Internally, these files use an SQL database structure to link media assets together, making them highly complex.
The main disadvantage of the .approj format is that it is strictly proprietary. It requires a heavy desktop installation of ActivePresenter to open, and the files frequently exceed several gigabytes in size. You cannot play an .approj file in standard media players like VLC, nor can you upload it directly to YouTube or web browsers. Without the original software, the project is effectively locked and useless to the end recipient.
