About AMC files
The .AMC file extension is heavily fragmented, primarily functioning as a gaming mouse macro script for A4Tech Oscar and Bloody series mice. These scripts store automated click sequences but are proprietary and hardware-locked, making them practically useless without the official peripheral. Alternatively, .AMC serves as an Acclaim 3D motion capture animation data file, heavily used in legacy animation pipelines alongside Vicon BodyBuilder. The major disadvantage of the Acclaim format is that it only stores rotational data; without its companion ASF (skeleton) file, the .AMC data cannot be interpreted by a 3D engine. Finally, older KDDI mobile phones saved videos as .AMC files, which are actually just obsolete MP4 containers. Because of this fragmentation, working with .AMC files is notoriously frustrating. You either need a specific gaming mouse, an expensive 3D animation suite, or legacy video playback software like Apple QuickTime Player. To make these files usable across modern workflows, conversion is mandatory. For macros, convert to TXT to read the UTF-16 code. For 3D animation, convert to universally supported BVH or FBX. For web video, convert to standard MP4 or WEBM. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser.
