About WOTREPLAY files
A .wotreplay file is a proprietary game log generated by World of Tanks, not a standard video file. Instead of containing visual pixels, it stores a lightweight sequential list of database events (coordinates, shots, spotting data) that allows the game engine to re-simulate the match. Because of this, you cannot open these files in media players like VLC or edit them in Adobe Premiere. A common frustration for players is version locking: a replay file created in an older version of the game client typically will not load in the current version. To 'convert' this file to a shareable video format like MP4 or AVI for YouTube, you must replay the file within the game client and use screen recording software like OBS Studio or NVIDIA ShadowPlay to capture the footage.
Convert.Guru analyzes your WOTREPLAY file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert WOTREPLAY file to MP4, EXE, ISO, BIN, CUE, PAK, WAD, PK3, PK4, BSP, MAP or SAV, you can use World of Tanks or similar software from the "Game Replay Recording" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert MOD, BIN, CFG, SCX, DAT, MPQ, LOG, CUE, INI, EXE, SCM or ISO files to WOTREPLAY, try World of Tanks or another comparable tool in the "Game Replay Recording" category.
The WOTREPLAY Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our WOTREPLAY converter.
