Most commonly, it is a Mobile Runtime Environment (MRE) Application used by devices running on MediaTek chipsets, such as Nokia feature phones (e.g., Nokia 220) and generic smartwatches. These files are compressed executables (often based on the ELF format or Zlib compression) containing code and resources like images and audio. They are strictly designed for the MRE platform and cannot run directly on Android (APK) or iOS, meaning users often struggle to open them on modern smartphones.
