Extract text from Antivirus and CAD files (VPS)

The .VPS file extension is highly fragmented and used by entirely unrelated software applications. The most common use cases include an encrypted quarantine file for older CA eTrust Antivirus systems, a virus signature database for Kaspersky Anti-Virus, or a CAD/CAM view settings file for Vero Software VISI (often formatted internally as XML). It is also occasionally used as a prepress color separation file by Scitex (based on TIFF), and as a Windows product key script.
Because a .VPS file is typically an internal system or settings file, it is rarely meant to be opened directly by users. Antivirus quarantine files are intentionally encrypted to prevent malware execution and require the original antivirus software to restore or delete them safely. CAD view settings are proprietary configuration files that are largely useless without the associated 3D model. Standard online converters fail to process most .VPS files because they cannot decrypt quarantine data or interpret niche CAD parameters.
Standard conversion targets like PDF or JPG do not apply to antivirus databases. However, if your file is a Scitex color separation image, you can convert it to standard TIFF or PNG. If it is a VISI file, you can convert it to TXT or XML. Our system will analyze the .VPS file.
