About EPS files

The .EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) format is a legacy vector graphic file type created by Adobe. It is traditionally used in professional printing and illustration workflows to store 2D vector data, text, and a low-resolution bitmap preview. Despite its history, .EPS is now widely considered an obsolete and frustrating format for everyday users.
