A .VPP file is primarily a Visual Paradigm Project file. It is used by software engineers and systems architects to store Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) charts, and complex software architectural designs. Visual Paradigm is the native software required to create, view, and manage these intricate design files.
The .VPP format has severe limitations when it comes to sharing and collaboration. It is a closed, proprietary file format. Files often exceed hundreds of megabytes because they embed extensive relational database elements, object properties, and version history. Furthermore, you cannot open a .VPP file in a standard web browser, image viewer, or text editor.
