About VFP files

The .VFP extension is a classic example of a filename collision, representing at least four distinct and incompatible formats. Most commonly for hobbyists and engineers, it serves as a FlashForge Project File created by FlashForge FlashPrint. These files contain 3D models, support structures, and slicing settings specific to FlashForge printers. The real problem here is the proprietary lock-in; a .VFP file cannot be opened in generic slicers like Cura or PrusaSlicer, nor can it be directly uploaded to most 3D repositories. To use these designs elsewhere, you must export them from FlashPrint to STL or OBJ formats.

In the corporate sector, a .VFP file is often a ViFlow Process file used by ViCon ViFlow. These are business process models (often based on JetDB or SQL architectures) used to document workflows. Sharing these files requires the recipient to have ViFlow installed, which creates collaboration bottlenecks. For broader accessibility, these should typically be converted to PDF for viewing or Visio (.VSDX) for diagram editing. Additionally, the extension is used for VAKA firmware update packages (often just renamed ZIP archives) and Salesforce Visualforce pages (text-based web components).

Convert.Guru analyzes your VFP file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted WFP, 32, DAG, MRP, MP4 and PYTHON files.
