About TID files
A .TID file most commonly functions as a game texture archive utilized by the Nitroplus visual novel game engine. Alternatively, it serves as a single note or 'Tiddler' in the personal wiki software TiddlyWiki, or as a thumbnail metadata file for AVCHD video recordings created by Sony and Panasonic cameras. The primary frustration with .TID files is their fragmented and proprietary nature. If dealing with Nitroplus game files, the format is entirely locked. You cannot open it natively in Adobe Photoshop or standard image viewers because it acts as a compressed container, hiding away 2D sprites and background assets. TiddlyWiki .TID files are plain text but contain specific metadata headers that look messy in standard text editors. AVCHD .TID files are generally useless standalone metadata meant only for the camera internal playback system. To make these files usable, extraction and conversion are mandatory. For Nitroplus archives, you must extract the contents to standard web-friendly formats like PNG or JPG for viewing and editing. For TiddlyWiki files, converting them to MD (Markdown) or HTML makes them readable across other documentation platforms. Drop your file here to view and convert it securely right in your browser. Our convert.guru tool identifies the exact file version and extracts the underlying data quickly, online, and without requiring you to install sketchy extractor scripts.

The TID Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our TID converter.
